____how I make things. what I use to make them. and other fun things___
Welcome to the ParaStyling blog! Here, I’ll be sharing insights into my creative process in a free-flowing style—just like the way I create and live my life. Today’s just a quick intro, but be sure to check back often as I’ll be revealing all my secrets and favorite finds.
Today we launched the Friday Finds mini-series on TikTok and Instagram!
In this series, I'll be sharing my favorite Amazon finds, specifically the ones I use in my designs. Today, I started with a product I’ve played around with a bit, but not as much as I’d like—Art Clay Silver. It’s a little pricey, so this time I did something I don’t normally do: I watched a few instructional videos instead of diving right into the creative process!
Art Clay Silver comes in a small pouch and works just like regular clay, but after firing and sanding, it turns into over 99.96% pure silver. I'll be making a pendant with a snake and leaf impression, and I can’t wait to share the process and final result in one of my upcoming Friday or Tuesday videos.
Quick reminder: I’m doing Tuesday Talks/Tutorials every Tuesday, live on Instagram at 1 PM EST, and will be posting Friday Finds reels every Friday.
Stay tuned for the reveal of this project, and let me know if you've ever tried Art Clay Silver or what your experience has been! See you soon!

These are the supplies you’ll need to make one of my best-selling items, the Three-Snake Medusa. I originally started with just a single headband, and then I would solder two of them together. Although I liked that look, it doubled the time and weight (and the price). Later, I found these beautiful, elegant double headbands that I’m showing you here to save you some of the steps I went through.
These are my two favorite snake packs, and I like to mix and combine them for customization. Typically, I use a larger one in the middle and two smaller ones on the sides, but some customers prefer them all small or all a bit larger.
This wire is intended for floral arrangements, but I find it excellent for jewelry because it's bendable, pliable, and durable without breaking. Finally, this is the only metallic paint I’ve used for the last three seasons. It adheres to rubber, plastic, metal, wood, and all the materials I use. It doesn’t rub off or get sticky (if you’ve ever tried coating rubber with metallic spray paint, you know how it can stay tacky forever). Trust me—start with a good choice.
The only other thing you’ll need is a set of pliers. I’m not listing them here because I didn’t buy them on Amazon and don’t remember where I got them. But if you’re a maker, you probably already have a set of wire pliers and a wire cutter on hand.
Come back soon! I’ll be sharing the process of making it in one of my Tuesday Tutorials on Instagram Live.

review and tutorial coming soon.
These are decent. I use them in pairs because I need two layers for a design I work with. They are a bit flimsy, so I always reinforce them with cornstarch before adding my design. The strips on the sides are not great quality, so I would recommend replacing them with better ones or removing them altogether.
That said, they actually elevated my initial design quite a bit and helped make it a best-seller, so I will be purchasing again.
